Shutter release cable for Canon 20D

Hi folks. My DSUSB stands idle because my new 20D needs a different cable than the one I have. I have one suitable for a 1000D but the 20D seems to have a proprietary 3-pin plug for some reason. Until I can get one, I seem to be stuck with 30 second subs. YaaaaH - what a waste of good guiding.

USB cable and Canon EOS utility. Just download the driver for the 20D. The only thing I saw you couldnt do was time multiple shots.

Don't know why but with just the USB cable, the max Bulb exposure is 30 seconds. Any longer requires a shutter release such as a Canon product or a DSUSB or even (I suppose) a straight Rs232-N3 cable if you could rig up such a thing.

Peter, the Digic II processor is limited to 30s via USB.
Robin is on the money with the cheap hand control. You could cut the cable on the controller and wire it into the DSUSB like this.http://www.lukemiller.org/journal/20...lease-for.html
