Green spider

Hi All,

Here is a picture Michael (Tilt) and I took last night with the NA140 and the DSI III. Taken of the tarantula in 03 2mins x 18 at 23-26 degrees.

Cheers
David

Thanks everyone. Yes we were pretty pleased. Started a little late but it was nice to get a clear night for a change.

It will be nice when daylight savings finishes and the sun is setting a little earlier.

Eagerly awaiting the colour filter wheel.

Cheers
David

Plenty of detail for 2 min. subs in warm conditions with no cooling. Was the O111 filter your visual one if so even more amazing.
Clear skies Ken.

Afraid so Ken - my GSO O3 filter! The DSI 3 does pretty well under about 20 degrees. Really even a cooling fan might just about do the trick (have to try and rig something up).

Working on those clear skies but unreliable tonight. Looking forward to the crab and eskimo hopefully. (Crab was behind the only tree to the north at the time!)

Thinking about a 1.25 inch baader narrowband set (approx 450 us for set of 4?). Have you been happy with yours?

Cheers
David

Hi Doug and Alex,

Thanks for the kind comments. Certainly collaboration is the way to go Doug - it makes the imaging more enjoyable. Also allows for experimentation as the amount of equipment available is much greater, better problem solving and quicker learning the varoius techniques.

Cheers
David

David I only have a O111 and LRGB from Baader , they seem to work well.
Clear skies Ken.
