Very nice Martin, I like the way you have captured or at least process up the surrounding dust clouds. Tom Davis better watch out. You will get nick named the Dust Collector.

I appreciate it a great deal.
Fred - alas - my RC is still in its box - too big and unwieldly to use on a rollout platform - plus, I just do not think the seeing is good enough at my location for hi-res stuff.

It is a shame that you can't make use of the RC at your current location.. I get the feeling that the STX-16803 coupled with the longer focal length of the RC would make a really amazing combo.. (Thats not to say that the images you're producing with the STX + FSQ combination aren't amazing, of course)

Hi Martin,
What a fantastic image! I must admit I've never seen M45 with all the dust and emission(?) nebulosity surrounding it. The STX seems to be a cracker.
Now if you're not using the RCOS, I could keep it warm for you 
I assume also from the image that the STX has ABGs installed?

Great image ... as already stated I have never seen the emission nebulosity in any previous images of M45 from any imager ... brilliant stuff Martin.

These images are just one big playground to explore. Agreed the nebulosity is sublime, but the amount of dust brought out in the pic is fascinating and mesmerising...

That's a very nice M45. Interesting to see all the reddish tinge around the central blue neb. Never seen such a deep wide field like that before. Top work.
