Here's my first guided image!
It needs tons more data, I only took 11 x 2min @ ISO 800. But I was taking baby steps that night.
The single 10 minute shot I took, the guiding was spot on.
Can't wait for some clear skies I'm itching to get back out there.

Looking good, cant wait till the exams are over so i can have some time to play with photography. That will look magnificent with more data.

Oh yeah ... your onto it now Jeanette, guiding is good if thats a 10min shot. Your right, more data will help you push that noise into the background also the usual calibrations will help.
I can remember the first night I had guiding working, I felt like I had really turned a corner in this game. Now you can safely move onto the NEXT thing to worry about hahahahahaha

This is a close up of the 10 minute shot. I'd left the setting to iso 1600 so the noise is atrocious.

good going jjj! Looks like your guiding and alignment are going well! Next clear night, step it up to 5 ~ 8 minute subs.
Great work!

Nice one JJJ. With another obstacle out the way, you can focus on more important tasks. The data is all there, sure you need more of it, but all other aspects look good. Quick tweak of levels and curves delivers a pleasant result with the background balanced. Well done.

hey JJJ, welcome to the wonderful world of guiding, although mine isnt very good, as is giving me grief at present!
this is a good example of the object, i found it too close to the horizon, and to low in surface brightness to give it a good go, but yours is good!
hopefully i should have a QHY8 image of this for the weekend

Ah, the joys of auto-guiding. Second only to auto-focusing, LOL. Great baby steps JJJ.

Hi JJJ. Well caught. That one is just skipping along the horizon isn't it. Even so, it's amazing how much data you have caught in there. I just had a play with some levels and shadows/highlihts to see just how far you can push it and was really surprised to see just how much more you actually have in that image.

Well done JJJ on getting your guiding sorted. Now for longer subs. I like both of your processes. More subs will help with noise reduction.
