My wife wanted something that went from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds flat...

I bought her a set of bathroom scales.

I have always liked the original (Ur) Audi Quattro, after Gene Hunt (one of my cultural heroes) drove it in Ashes to Ashes it attained legendary status. More recently I have been thinking more and more about the M6 (not the globular cluster). Wouldn't say no to the Bentley Continental either.

Love the original UR Quattro too Peter. I still see one getting around Sydney from time to time (ex John Singleton?). I also quite liked the S1.

I am not as a rule a "car guy" however, I have longed for a 1969 Ford Shelby Mustang for a long time...I'd also love to own a 1964 Karmann-ghia convertable....

I am fortunate enough to have a dream car in my garage, a Mazda MX5 (NB8B), and the best part about it is that I do not have to drive it everyday.
Not fast but very quick and lots of fun.

Greg.

When you turn your car on does it return the favour?

Scott,

There is a big interest in KG's here and as for Shelby's, a panel beater that I know has a real Cobra (aluminium body) that is to die for.

Greg.

For fast I have a BMW R1150R motorcycle fitted with a Remus pipe, 6 kg's lighter, 69RWKw, 112Nm of torque and 0 to 100 KPH in under 3 seconds. Plus a great sound.

Regards.

Greg.

Boys need toys.

My daily driver is a Mazda Bravo Ute with a 2500 litre Turbo Diesel that constantly frightens young Commodore drivers.

David,

I had a RED 260Z 2+2, great car and oh to have a 240Z now.

Greg.

P.S. At the time of owning the Datsun my company car was a 1600cc GT Celica (one of a hand full to get into the country). Why did Australian car manufacturers not get the message then? Or now?

For fast I have a fiddled '94 GSXR750 I've had since new. 112 rear wheel HP, Megacycle full race system. LOUD and FAAAAST!!!!
For sheer driving pleasure, I take the wife's Alfa GTV, absolutely beautiful on a bendy road. P-Zero's are a must.

Cheers,
Jason.

If Joe and Josephine Average believe a four door family car with stripes and a body kit is a sports car, then why change?

Cheers,
Jason.

Jason,

I have a BIG spot for GSXR's in all forms, everytime I see one I think of Peter Goddard and the work that he and Phil Tainton did to set Suzuki SBK on their ears, and in typical Japanese fashion they didn't get it anyway! But as far as production motorcycles went GSXR's paved the way and opened the doors for road friendly sports bikes.

Greg.

P.S. I bumped into Rod Sharp recently (suspension guy same team), the Japanese race team didn't want to listen to him either.
