Ghost Town (bryce2 render from 1998)

G'day all,

A little while ago the name of the application "bryce2" came up and a few people here remembered using it. I have since been backing up my old work which until now only existed on old zip drives. It's a nice trip down memory lane. Much of it is 100% bryce2 or bryce2+photoshop3.

This isn't quite "terrestrial photography" but it doesn't quite fit anywhere else! I thought I'd post it anyhow.

Attached isn't necessarily my favorite image but it's one of the most technically challenging. It took 2 full days (more than 48 hours) to render on my 486dx2 every time I wanted to see if it was right. Lots of diamonds with light sources in the chest, the lamp, fog, and other effects contributing to that render time.

It was great fun, back when I had time to do such things (at university)

Roger.
