Medium RC Omega Cent

I have to say..these RC scopes are not too shabby at all !

http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/images...songc5189.html

Things to note:
Used a cracker of a CCD and equatorial mount

....but, at FL of 1600mm most functioning GEM's would have done the job very well.

very nice indeed any chance of seeing what these can do with a full-frame rather than an APS crop?

If it wasn't for the diffraction spikes, that could be mistaken for a 6" refractor.

I want to see how one of these performs on something like the Crab nebula

Hi Peter,

You want to sell the RCOS scope adapter?

It seems strange to piggyback a GSO 8" on the RCOS.

Cheers

Not strange at all...I'm seriously looking at keeping one of these for myself as a "grab and go" (which the RCOS is definately not) scope hence wanted to see what it could do.

Given I didn't feel like setting up & polar aligning a second mount & I have a perfectly aligned PME sitting in the dome... mounting the GSO as guidescope on steroids seemed like a good idea

Think that's strange, go take a gander at this!!!!....

http://www.atmob.org/gallery/showimage.php?id=573

Who uses a 10" Meade as a guidescope!!!!!
What about the other one....6" refractor, at least. I'd be happy with either of them

OK...same URL. The image now changes to an uncropped 35mm field when you roll your mouse cursor over it.
