We have certainly been very quiet up here in the top end, so I thought it was time for a bit of an update.
GAA in gove is till going strong and we have our long overdue AGM tomorrow.
The Garma festival is close at hand and is one of the biggest public exposure events for GAA of the year.
I have been heavily involved in getting the entertainment happening for a major community festival www.govefestival.org.au and have been pretty quite on the Astronmy front as a result
Clear skies are now back with us with lots of opportunities for great Astronomy
So while we have been quite, its time to ramp up the volume now !
Hi Ian,
Glad to hear the skies have cleared for you. I'm in Weipa and the skies here are nice and clear as well. Unfortunately i don't have a scope with me but that will change in about a month.
Hope the Festival goes well for you all.
Cheers,
Duncan
It is good to see clear skies returning, though I am suprised at how much moisture is still around considering it's the dry season.
Had some quite heavy dewing and fogs just lately.
Hi Folks
The storm chasing was a bit of a seasonal sideline !
The club are meeting this weekend to plan out our observing for the rest of the dry season.
Hi Duncan
Good to know there is someone flying the Astronomy flg "Over the Bay" in Weipa.
Cheers
Ian
