Occultation of the Moon by brushtail possum
Hi all,
Having captured this rare astronomical event with my camera, I thought I'd better post it!
The stars of Scorpius are nicely visible in the background.

Nice shot Stephen.
You would have to put that up with catching the ISS crossing the face of the sun.
Where did you find the information of the occultation timing?

Great Pic Stephen,
I just scanned through the AS&T in the Occultation section and found that this event was only visible from certain parts of Indooroopilly, but sadly nowhere else in Australia...
(congrats on the "pair of crescents" publish in the AS&T by the way! - Well done!)
Its good to see you got Messier 240V in the shot as well.
I just had another look at it and thought it quite special that the possum's tail and Scorpius' tail line up quite nicely with the same orientation.
Cracker of a shot, send that one in to AS&T and Spaceweather etc!
