Leo triplet

I'm reasonably pleased with this one, but I'm still feeling my way about processing RGBL data

Exposure:
20min each of RGB, 60 min luminosity, all 5 min subs
darks, flats for each filter, flat darks.
Telecope: William Optics ZS110 (110mm APO)
Camera: QSI 540 wsg at -20 deg
Mount: Losmandy GM8

Nice! Wow, I'd be happy with that. Good detail in the galaxies. I'd do a little more processing on it, maybe darken the background, but that's being picking considering what a good result you've achieved anyhow.

Nice to see a good shot taken on a GM8, considering all the struggles I often have with mine

well done Geoff,
I agree with Roger, it's a fine image, there's something about the central region that looks like it just needs some work , couldn't be flats could it? i dont image much with refractors so maybe a refractor expert could say?
the galaxies are great!

Wow! very nice Geoff. Did you take this one from Ilford? Really sharp details in all the galaxies. Well done.

Yes, the GM8 can be a little strange--varies from "great!" to "what the hell's going on here?"

Very nice Geoff, Looks like you are getting the hang of LRGB. I wish I was.
