So what is wrong with it exactly? What do you plan to use the ED80 for?

First of it has no compression rings and the fit is very sloppy

You can get a visual back from scopestuff, but by the time you add brass thumbscrews and postage it's going to cost around AU$80-90. http://www.scopestuff.com/ss_fas2.htm

Another option is to replace the focuser with one from Long Perng or GSO

If you go with a new focuser ask for opinions on which is best.

EDIT: if you only want a new 1.25" adapter with compression ring they are available for $15 or so from Aussie shops.
