WO 0.8 Field Flattener and reducer

Looking at buying a WO 10:1 Focuser and WO 0.8x FF/FR for my ED80, I'm wondering what the best price is around town ?

Thanks

I got a WO 0.8xx FF/FR Type II and imported it direct. It was cheaper at the time to do so.

I don't know what the cost is from local suppliers.

Andrews Comm's have these two. Not sure if this pricing still stands though:

P-FLAT2 NEW 2" APO field flattener, 0.8x reducer, for refractors. Includes 2" adaptor. $229.00 P-FLAT3 NEW 2" APO field flattener, 0.8x reducer, for refractors. New optical and modular designs. Suits Megrez 90mm, 110mm, FLT110 $279.00

Curious as to what the difference between the two is. I assume the FLAT2 model is for 80mm refractors, the other isnt.

Anyone have knowledge of these two?

Warning Will Robinson!!

Don't get the WOIII if you are using a standard ED80. It will do horrible things to your corner stars. Get the WOII (from the first link). If you have a look in the resources section you'll find a review I did on a few FRs for the ED80.

WO also has a new .75x - 0.8x ADJUSTABLE Type IV FF/FR
Suitable for most 500-1000mm focal length refractors but US$258

Anyone have the type IV WO field flattener? I'm trying to decide if I will get the IV or III for my Megrez 90.

Can't find any reviews anywhere.. seems it's too new.

Thanks,
Roger.

The type 4 has only been shipping for a few weeks now, so I don't think many reviewers have gotten their hands on it yet. I'll be curious to see how it does.

i have a pflat4 on order, there was a problem with them after they were released though and they were recalled by WO to be fixed.
(i dont know what the problem was)

i should be able to give it a run down in a couple weeks on my Tak and ED80, looking forward to it.

edit: just noticed that its not even on their site anymore?!

Thanks for the replies.

I'd really like mine by the 28th Feb so am trying to decide if I will just go with the IV or wait for reviews and miss the 28th.. hmmm

(like you there's a few weeks wait for it including delivery)
