Didn't have much luck at Newcastle harbour too many clouds but I managed a couple of shots with my Pentax K20d with Tamron 28-300mm lense .

I think it would compete with the city too much if you let it set any further.. I like the composition with a little bit of space, like the image you posted.

Thank you ChrisI know am too....too...... too late to replay this, I have a similar picture taken on the 1/12/08 at 20:12 hrs in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia taken by my 1.3 megapixel cell phone camera. I don’t think it’s quite clear but you still can see the moon in between. I will send you the picture as soon as you received this communication.Bethy
