The world is a good and wholesome place again!

Everyone relax!...

For months, I haven't been able to find my compass... I used to carry it with my astro gear (since I haven't been doing as much bushwalking) but for months now I haven't been able to find it. I looked everywhere.

Last night I was helping my step daughter with her homework. She had to do a scale drawing of her dream bedroom. So I dug my old drawing board and tee square out of the shed, and found the set squares and showed her how to use all this antiquated stuff. She was using an eraser that was smudging rather than removing the pencil lines, so did a deeper archaeological dig for a decent eraser... lo and behold I dug through my compass in the desk drawer! I'd given it up for lost!

It must have been on the desk when we were packing up to move, and someone has put it in the drawer... who'd have thought to look for a compass in a drawer full of old tech drawing stuff....

It mightn't be the best thing in the world, but it's a great feeling to find something you think you've lost!

Al.
