I have one in the photo challenge this month - how low do you get to take your shots usually? I enjoy fungi - wish there was more of it

Phil, your exposure has that mystical look about it - like there should be little creatures hanging around

Here's my most recent fungal shot - a smelly one in the backyard!

Cheers,
Stephen

Ok here goes, the Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria), they're poisonous. These ones I found at a golf course on the west coast of Tas. The fairytale mushroom from Europe, its an old Polish trick to fry them on a piece of tin and then leave it out to kill flies. Apparently they're fairly common, but I had never seen them before. They're usually found under pine trees. If you're interested in identifying your fungii this site may help. http://www.anbg.gov.au/fungi/index.html
