M 31 with unmodified Canon EOS 350 D

Hallo guys,
before 1 week there were very good conditions in the Czech Republic. I took picture of galaxy M 31 in Andromeda with my unmodified Canon EOS 350 D.
I used 20 exposures with exposure time 5 minutes. But for processing I used only 14 exposures.
On the picture you can see my result.

I would like to thank you Libor Richter for help with processing.

equipment: Canon EOS 350 D unmodified, Skywatcher ED 80/600
exposure: 14 x 5 min, ISO: 800
processed: Adobe Photoshop 7.0 CE, Subraw
manualy guided with refractor 70/500

That's a very beautiful image of a very beautiful target!

Wow it's so big it doesn't even fit in your FOV.

Thanks for posting and I look forward to more.

brilliant shot - try to frame up a little better on the diagonals, you may get more in. BTW you have a few dust moates on the sensor, remember to take dark frames and flats to remove them from the image

It is pleasing to see some prime northern hemisphere targets grace this forum for a change. Grand M31 image. Very well done!

Blimey, what a super image. You have certainly nailed that one. The dust lanes are lovely and detailed.

Well done
