Out of action for a bit
On Sunday arvo, my daughter Abbey accidently poked me in the eye with a pencil, scratching it badly. As a result I can't open that eye (my left) and can barely open my good eye because it makes the bad one worse.
So i'll be off work probably all week and can only quickly check email/forums before it gets too painful. I can only type with 1 hand because the other is holding my sore eye trying to stop it from moving and hurting.
So sorry if I don't reply to your emails, PM's or questions - hopefully in a few days I'll be back to normal.

Darn, get well Mike, I know we have two of them, but there is a reason for this. Eye surgery a year or two ago left with the impression that they are VERY tender organs. Get well.

Uugh... Maximum cringe factor just reading about it!
Eyes are precious (but so are kids!)
Take it easy and it'll heal sooner. I suggest listening to lots of PODcasts and music ... oh sorry...

Ow, Mate! Gives me the heebee gee bee's just thinking about it. I'm sure Abbey feels bad about poking Daddy in the eye.
Take it easy, it's amazing how quickly the eye can heal.

The secret to recovery/repair of sensitive tissue like an eye is the constant supply of nutrients to the cells to allow rebuilding tissues, and lots of fluids to permit cleansing and lubrication of the eyeball itself .....
Best source of nutrients and fluids together I know of is ...
Tell the missus it's doctors orders!
Wishing you a spick and queedy recovery Mike!

Ouch. I hate injuries to eye's. I'd find it hard not being able to see the wonderful colours of photographs and the like if I lost or injured mine. I hope you have a full recovery and a speedy one.
But I can sympathise somewhat, and say "Join the club" Mike. I've been out of action for 3 weeks because of an op on my back (minor, no sympathy please).. looks like it'll be another 2 weeks before I can get back to exercise and not worrying about it. Pain in the ... oh, just don't get me started.
Roger.
