Messier 101 LRGB image

Here's one that doesn't rise very high (if at all?) for you guys. It's a galaxy I'll miss when we move to NSW later this year...

This was taken with my 10" f/4.8 Newtonian, STL11000M camera, Televue STL Paracorr, and Astronomik LRGB filters shot at 2x2 bin. 1hr luminance, 20mins each RGB. Also used an IDAS LP filter on the nosepiece of the Paracorr to help block some of the senseless light pollution around here.

Here's a link to my image, cropped to keep the size down!

Regards, Rob.

Well composed Rob. Do you gaussian blur your RGB data before layering with Luminance?

We have a saying down this way, "What you miss out on the merry-go-round, you make up on the hurdy-gurdy"
