Jupiter. April 6 AEST. NTB White Spot Outbreak p. end

Here are three sets of images A, B and C showing the STB White Spot Outbreak in Visible (RGB), UV, near-IR and methane bands on April 5 UT.

NTB White Spot Outbreak.

The images show that there are now up to 5 white spots surrounded by blue-grey material. All the white spots are visible, to varying degrees, in all the above wavelengths. In particular, the p. and middle of the outbreak contains the two most intense white spots which are most brilliant-white features on the planet, and are brighter (in methane) than oval BA or the GRS. UV images show that the area has become darker in UV than the rest of the NTrZ-NTZ (see the UV image at 17h 52m UT in set B).

STrD-1

Near-IR images show that the f. end of the STrD-1 is concave and well-developed (see the 18h 02m image in set B). The area between the p. and f. ends are darker in all wavelengths, particularly in methane.

Ovals N1 and N2

These are two methane and near-IR bright ovals in the northern hemisphere (see. the 18h 34m RGB, 17h 56m methane and 18h 36m near-IR images in set C).
