Orion ED80 plus EQ5, with RA and Dec Drives (Sold)

Hi All.

As many would know I now have the Takahashi 106, and G11 Mount, and I cant drive two scopes, and mounts at once, so I'm selling one.

Up for grabs is a Orion ED80, plus EQ5 Mount, with duel axis motors, both are in perfect condition, and both motors work well.
Comes also with hand controller, and battery pack, plus all leads.

The Scope dose not come with the 2" diagonal pictured in the image.

The ED80 is a renowned great imaging scope

This is a combined package, but if not sold may split up later.

I will be asking $850.00 shipped to your door anywhere in Victoria, and 50% shared shipping costs anywhere else.

Also would consider 100 Kilometers Radius of Ballarat delivery, or meet someone half way.

Please PM me if Interested.

Cheers Leon

Forgot to mention it also comes with a GSO new Finder scope and brackets, with dovetail mount, and the tube rings.

Thanks to all that inquired, but the Items are now SOLD

Hi Leon,

forgive me if I'm wrong, as I'm only a humble beginner, but has the mount been modded. On other EQ5 pics, there isn't that large plate with the bolts.

Cheers,
Paul

Paul,

No it hasn't been modded, i have just taken off the tripod legs and mounted it on a pier, it just stays there aligned all the time, covered of coarse.

The plate you see is the top and bottom plates that are usually put on a pier to get the whole thing level.

The Mount Hub stays on the plates, and the mount is moved indoors when not in use.

It is a small job to put the legs back on the Hub.

Cheers Leon
