Pic of Storm in Newcastle an hour ago

Hi all,

Here's a pic I did just an hour or so ago of a nice lightning show passing by the Newcastle area.

The image is with my Canon 350D, 75mm f/8, 4 mins exposure @ ISO200.

regards
Paul

Holy cow Paul that's awesome! Is that one exposure?

I saw that storm cell to the north of us - we got a minor one but the major one was up your way.

There was literally a flash of lightning every second. Amazing.

Hmm, looks more like the fractal pattern of electro-static discharge and CMOS NAND gates being ruptured on the surface of the CCD chip. Probably due to cosmic ray bombardment arising from the increased neutron flux of inter-galactic space, caused by localised magnetic vortices whose toroidal components are destabilisng the black hole at the centre of our galaxy.

Cheers
