Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all

Wishing all of our members a Happy Holiday season, and here's hoping you can avoid::

Holiday accommodation price gouging, bushfires, floods, cyclones, traffic jams, relatives that drive you crazy, crowded beaches, no parking anywhere you go, packed shopping centres, and all the other accompanying seasonal chaos.

Cheers

GD

Do you like ice-cream? I hope the cone doesn't go soggy on you. Nothing worse. And if you get the maccas one I'm sure it's dearer. I'm sure there will be ice cream in hell.

Happy Holidays!

Adding to the list of things to avoid on this side of the equator…excess snow (a little for Christmas Morning would be nice).

Here's hoping that it's a safe and a Merry one for all, and that Santa safely delivers to you that new 'scope / mount / eyepiece that you wanted (and neglected to tell the wife about...)

All the best folks!

“A merry Christmas, uncle! God save you!” cried a cheerful voice. It was the voice of Scrooge’s nephew, who came upon him so quickly that this was the first intimation he had of his approach.

“Bah!” said Scrooge, “Humbug!”

He had so heated himself with rapid walking in the fog and frost, this nephew of Scrooge’s, that he was all in a glow; his face was ruddy and handsome; his eyes sparkled, and his breath smoked again.

“Christmas a humbug, uncle!” said Scrooge’s nephew. “You don’t mean that, I am sure?”

“I do,” said Scrooge. “Merry Christmas! What right have you to be merry? What reason have you to be merry? You’re poor enough.”

“Come, then,” returned the nephew gaily. “What right have you to be dismal? What reason have you to be morose? You’re rich enough.”

Scrooge having no better answer ready on the spur of the moment, said, “Bah!” again; and followed it up with “Humbug.”

Hi All,
I was worried I wasn't in the mood for Xmas so last night I watched
channel 7 and tonight Channel 9 -
and it definitely put me in the mood:

Woolworths Carols In The Domain 2023
Channel 7
Australia's best singers and performers will take centre stage to bring in the festive season for the 2023 Carols in the Domain.
7:30PM - 10:00PM

And tonight Channel 9 -
Carols by Candlelight
8:00PM - 11:00PM
Join hosts David Campbell and Sarah Abo for Vision Australia's Carols by Candlelight presented by AAMI, live from Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Featuring festive performances including G Fip, Paul Kelly, Marcia Hines, David Hobson.

Merry Xmas to everyone.
Allan
