Another by accident image..I was going to capture the Triffid but noticed this and realised I had been missing it for years.

So due to culling heaps..If a sub was not perfect I culled it...but only one time thru...so only 20 minutes of O11 for exampler..So I became inventive and broke some rules...I stacked everything to get approx a 5 hour Luminance so as to have something to hang the meagre other stuff...

An Askar experience, 300 subs at 100 gain, -20 degrees cent..(20 below room temp) OAG ..guiding was nice but still I had to throw out so much...probably cables snagging still...ZWO mount..ZWO 2600 mono camera..120 mini guide camera.

A wonderful night but very cold...as I mentioned someplace earlier the roof would not close because the gears moved away from the track and as the roof worked this morning, I think the cold caused the roof to warp off the track...

So although I dithered (10 pixels every sub both directions RA and Dec) I did not drizzle when stacking.

Processed in star tools..I made two "combined" images...worked on colour in Startools but basically kept settings as I found them.. but then merged both combined results in Photoshop after further adjustment to my liking...so it is an Xelasnave palette...This was Ha, O11, and S11 and they received flats and bias frames but Luminance was a stack of all lights and no flats obviously but bias got in...I did RBG but have not tried to use that data...maybe some other time. EDIT...THE few decent RBG went into the total stack...

the second image is as is outta Startools

I guess I gave up early on this one when it was clear that my 9 hours capture time came down to about 4.5 after my cull...I may get more data but I am sortta sick of it now...but the total staCK HELPED OUT.

Awesome Alex. The first one is an excellent classic Banana (and Chinese Dragon) easily your best of late, it's a ripper mate! The second one is wild, I love it. It is strutting its new funky bell bottoms and 5" platforms on a Saturday Night. Groovy man!
