I have the following items for sale for, my beloved Meade 12.5" f/6 Research Grade Newtonian.
I have been in the process of rebuilding the telescope as something that equates to an Ultra Compact design for easy of transports. I have so far completed the truss tube, mirror box, secondary cage and mirror cell which now make the telescope a going concern. I will continue with the project but will be happy if a budding Amateur Telescope Maker will take over for me.
Items include.
1. One Meade 12.5" Research Grade Primary Mirror (Full Thickness)
2. Matching Secondary Mirror
3. JMI Low profile focuser.
4. Telrad
5. All telescope parts that have been constructed so far for the project.
This telescope, before I started the rebuild, has by far given me the best views of any scopes I have used! If you know anything about these scopes, you'll agree that the 1/10th wave primary mirrors that Meade supplied were the best!

Update, I am endeavouring to finish the telescope off so that it is back to a service dobsonian. More amateur telescope making for me less for the buyer.
Updated the advert with additional pictures of the telescope. Mirror been cleaned and aluminisation is in very good condition for its age. They don't do mirror like they used to.
