Sun images from Melbourne 30 December 2022

We had unexpectedly good weather for imaging and viewing this morning. There was plenty of activity showing on the Sun. A new active region in the NE with two large sun spots just coming around the limb (AR3180). Plus two very large impressive prominences on the east (left side of the image).

It was a good morning for imaging Peter and Clare. Plenty of small sunspot groups and some prominences. regards John W.
