Just thought I would show you how I Barlow a Barlow in an ED80.

I have no need of extension tubes due to the ED100 long Crayford focuser

ED80, ED100 Crayford Focuser, 2" GS 2x Barlow, 1.25" AOS long tube 2x Barlow, TouCam.

All up, it makes a Veeeerrryyy long scope! and the images are great!!

The ubiquitous ED80, HRH Liz is definitely correct when she said "Now that's a Proper Telescope"...

Boy, it looks like you might have to strap a bag of rice to the front end of it to balance it Ken

Haha, and the little EQ1 handles it beautifully and tracks spot on! It still amazes me just how good the EQ1 is for the baby of the EQ family.

I am asking a lot from it, and yet it still delivers. Once I have it polar aligned and the tracking speed set, it keeps objects centred for over 15 mins! Probably longer if I drift aligned!

That's pretty good for a $100 mount! and a $70 motor drive.
