Well, these shots are not the best, not because the scope was not up to it. It was my settings. I fiddled and fiddled but I think with more practice Peters scope will produce lovely images. Anyway here they are.
Gary the Meade is still in, just have to ackowledge where a scope has superior skills. This thread is really for both Peter and my self. Peter supplied the hardware, so the shots really are his, and I did the processing of the AVI's which I took. So you all should thank Peter for the great scope. It was a great night and I hope that we can do it again.
Oh yeah, you should have seen Saturn through the Tak, even though it was quite low, in the EP it was awsome. You could clearly see Cassinis division and some of the crepe ring. Absolutely awsome scope. Can't wait to see him progress. Should be just right for Mars in November.
At Low power Jupiter was such a beautiful sight to behold. You could see the belts, some festooning and the great red spot. Peter later said that he cranked up the magnification and could see all that plus some barges and more detail in the belts.
Anyway thanks for all the comments people, really appreciated.
I just copied the photo from the forum and did a little experimenting with Photoshop. All at sea at present, but good fun experimenting. Ugly night tonight for viewing hey!
