Planets from the back yard.
First outing with the planets for a loooong time - maybe 2 years. Lot of thing to relearn, mistakes to remake... and a few new ones
Anyway, here we go. First up Jupiter.

Jupiter from near the start of the session. Is it just me, or is the GRS getting darker. I had a look at it he other night, and I saw it quite easily, which hasn't always the case with me.

Thanks Mark and Andrew. Been kicking myself not to drag out the gear, but it is such a hassle to put it all away again. Cloudy here tonight, though.

Hi Rob, I'm using a C9.25, 4x powermate and an SPC900 webcam. Mars and Jupiter were captured at 20 fps, Saturn at 10 fps (with gain cranked a bit. I think that is why I am getting the lines through it. If/when the weather clears I might try to use Anne-Louise's Atik Titan to see if I can get a better result.

I've not used a camera like that. Might need to chek the capture settings?

Thanks Dunk.
All the planets become a problem at my place. I only have a few hours after they cross the meridian before the Pecan swallows them. Now the clouds are back (why oh why didn't I get the 'scope out earlier?
) it may be a while before I get more camera time.

Processed a few other sequences of Mars from the 30th (lots of clouds since then). Pretty happy with the result for now, but I hope to do better in the future.

I reprocessed another sequence, re-sampled it and hopefully didn't kill it.
