Is that or was that Metis?

Was just checking out Jupiter and there is/was a noticeable dot right on the left side as looking through my scope, my software says the only thing sort of close was Metis, can anyone confirm that please.
Cheers from Mick.

Mick,

Io is currently in transit across the face of Jupiter. If you look again right now (or at least before 10pm), Io's shadow is visible as a small black dot. Unfortunately, the shadow is currently falling on one of the major, dark bands and this makes it a little more difficult to observe. Nevertheless, it should be visible in a small telescope. I have just been observing it a moment ago with a 4inch ED refactor at about 94X.

Io itself is predicted to finish its transit and reappear next to Jupiter at 9.19pm.

Thanks Bob.
I caught it when it was right on the edge but had to pack it away soon after. I must try a camera on this scope one day.
Thanks again.
Mick.
