Jupiter 30th May from tassie

Seeing was great there for a while maybe 8/10. These were from 21:30 whilst the mirror was 1.5 degrees and the ambient 0 degrees.

I was hoping for a nice GRS and jnr, but clouds spoilt the view.

I have a 10fps and 5fps optimized colour and 1 raw colour mode at 5fps.

Below is the 10fp optimized colour, split rgb, heavy wavelets, 4x1.1 ME exponential and .8 gamma for 300 odd frames.

Nice image Dave, great to see another from you. Lots of details and as usual huge image scale.

How long did you capture for?

A welcome return David - thanks for posting these superb Jupiter images. Seeing has been poor in Brissie so thanks for relieving the hi-res Jupiter drought!

Cheers

Dennis

8/10 seeing, thats a good introduction back to Jupiter. Good one Dave.

I remember back in the old days when I made my first mirror {8" F5} I couldn't wait to try it out so I assembled it un-coated. I was astounded at the views of the planets & didn't bother to send it away to get aluminized for weeks!!

Hey DP, lovely shot and great to see something from you, the Tassie weather must have been pretty poor of late?

We must have been imaging around the same time - view on mine looks almost identical, only not as good

Cheers,

Beautiful images, Dave, as per usual. Congrats yet again.

Bugger the processing details, though. Just tell me what you were wearing.

Cheers,

Brian
