Maxim DL multistar guiding

This feature caught my eye a while ago and we did have a thread about it for a while. I got the idea from that thread that this feature was immature and not really working.

Is anyone using it now? Its been a while it may have been fixed.

Greg.

Still on 5.24 and weary of upgrading to version 6 which does have it. In principle it should work but I have read varying reports from works well to a total disaster and with no recognisable fault such as focal length etc.

Yes the latest upgrade sometimes is not a step up.

Although the Sky X latest daily builds seems to be an improvement and as you say Sky X is becoming quite a mature piece of software.

It still amazes me that Maxim DL hasnt got this sorted (or anyone else). Mike Berthon-jones (Placidus) wrote code that not only does multistar guiding, but simultaneous dual (OAG and external) multistar guiding. Its been working for years brilliantly. What is cyanogen thinking?. Its obvious and (obviously) doable.
