30 x 60 secs ISO 1600. I stuffed up the intervalometer, and lost 20 subs.
I don't know how much better it would have been with the extra subs.

Nice Raymo, is this collection listed in charts like that or does it have an NGC/M number/s? A very tempting target!

Is that DSLR noise I see? I took a few shots one night recently, at around 20c and the images were pretty much unusable, so much noise!

This is the Grus Quartet. The Gx to the right is NGC 7552 while the other 3 are NGCs 7582, 7590 and 7599. The three Gx's are easy to fit in the view with most scopes and a reasonable wide field EP while all four requires a TFOV of over 1 deg.

What intervalometer? I find BYEOS or APT pretty damn good and cheap in lieu of a canon intervalometer.

Otherwise...pretty damn good ...keep it up

Thanks everyone. Yes, a bit of DSLR noise Simon. My home made cool
box is just about ready for testing.
I have BEOS Brendan, but as I rarely use a PC at the scope, I prefer to
use the intervalometer that cost $13.50 on ebay.
