VTI Optics

Hello,
Has anyone used this company, VTI Optics.

I intend to buy from them but dont know anything about them and it seems hard to contact them, I have not found an email address or ph number for them, as such thought I would ask here to see if anyone has had dealings with them.

Thanks ian

VTI Optics

James is very good to deal with and always kept me informed of the progress, or lack of because of Chinese New Year celebrations, of my order.

Package arrived with forewarning so that I would be at home to receive it.

Can't fault the service I received.

Chris

Thats good to know Chris, I will go ahead with my purchase tomorrow, I just found it a little strange that I am required to pay at the Commonwealth bank rather than by credit card, still thats no problem.

VTI James

I have purchased twice in the last 3 months (24m ES EP and 2" Williams Diagonal), in one case James delivered and the second time I picket the item up at VTI in Melbourne.
James from VTI is very responsive and I can only recommend VTI, their pricing for some of the Explore Scientific stuff is very competitive.
Main sellers are usually in stock.

Wish the Vti site wouldn't take forever to load. I would buy a few bits but the couple of times I've tried it's around 20mins waiting time….
Too long so I give up.

I would rate their service as very good.
Purchased some items from them over the past year and they kept you informed all the way.

Must have been a glitch in the system as now it loads in 3 seconds.
Must be that abacus you're using to log on with

Matt, What on Earth is an abacus? I have zero knowledge about computers as I don't use one for work only this sort of stuff.
I do use the best computers though APPLE so can you enlighten me a bit? VTI still takes forever and a bit more to load
Cheers

Matt, that's very strange. Is your computer working normally for other sites? I use a Mac at home and the site loads normally. Unless you're trying this in the wee small hours and the VTI website is down for maintenance or something it doesn't make sense to me

It has nothing to do with what platform is being used, it is all about the connection between the user and the website and the internet provider. Somewhere in between there is a bottleneck. It may work for someone perfectly well, or someone else really badly.

VTI has sent two emails to let me know the order is on its way and have given me a tracking number, so obviously they are a good site to deal with.

I feel stupid now for asking my question at the start but I did not see their ph number and email address until it was pointed out to me that its at the bottom of their web page.

I was being careful and wanted to make sure it was a legit company, which it obviously is.
( better safe than sorry when buying over the internet aye!)

The pic didn't come out but its an abacus…..

Not any more but I learnt maths with the little coloured rods.

VtI loads a bit quicker on the iMac with chrome, still takes a few minutes, and is the only web site that does. Everything else is seconds….Must have been banned
