First HH this season

Given the lack of horse heads in the deep space section I thought I'd post one just to be different.

Little affected by moon glow last night but seeing was reasonable. This is 3h in 5min subs with my C11 hyperstar. I have a bigger one here.

If I had less sky glow and more data I could have more contrast but I was reasonably happy with that one. Haven't imaged for a while now and haven't used the C11 for over a year I reckon so I was happy it went smoothly enough.

Yeeeeah... nice I guess ...just needs some colour

Seriously though, needs some more brightness along the wall or it looks too flat IMO...but still a great result Froggenator

Tough crowd. I don't have dark skies to do proper color.

Nah... the relative luminosity is there compared to the flame which is much brighter. When the moon is down I'll get added contrast.

Nice detail and tight stars, Marc. You'd never think this was taken with a C11. Interesting diffraction spikes on Alnitak. Is it hte camera cable that causes this?

Thanks Graeme. Yes the shadow on all the stars at 7 o'clock is the cabling. So are the funky spikes on Alnitak. I should velcro all this. I'm a bit lazy. Next time.

For this runner, the FOV works for me plus the level of detail you have captured. Classic view.
