Half Done!

I started this image a few months ago with my little GX-1, and since getting my 350D I haven't finished it.

I'll probably do a complete reshoot next year with my new wide field set up.

Anyway around 200 images, 128 seconds each, in six frames.

Down sizing has made it look pretty bad, you'll just have to imagine what the full 1.6 GB image is like

Hope it's worth a look,

Really nice wide-angle image! One comment: slightly too blue. The Eta Carinae nebula looks purplish and the bluish A and B stars (beta Cen, three stars of Crux) look deep blue.

Thanks, I'll have a play with the blue and see what I can do.

I stitched it with Hugin, had some bad gradients that were pretty hard to fix but got it looking fairly even, it took quite a while to process as the full size image is 1.6 GB
