Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) October 28

A cropped frame of Comet ISON this morning.

12 minutes with an SW 120mm F5, Pentax K-x, no filters. Nearby Moon was washing out the sky.

Thanks Andrew.

I think when the Moon clears the area this comet will show a very long tail on photos. Atm it's being drowned out.

Real nice Kevin, Ison looking much better now and next week even betterra , , moon gone and evry man and his scope will be hunting it !

Thanks Justin. The unfiltered achro refractor doesn't show colour the best, but it shows something.

The ED80 would be better colour wise, but it's so tiny still I need all the f/L I can muster with a bigger optical stick. In the old days I would have shot this type of thing with the Coulter 10 inch f4.5.
