Jen, you've just killed me.... this song brings back memories of torture.
Back in secondary school, we had to learn ballroom dancing (yes, waltz etc etc) to this song for over an hour, twice a week, for close to a year!!! Same bloody song every time! Looped over and over and over and over and over and over....
I think the teachers liked it because it's tempo continually increases and a gym full of maybe 60 students must have looked rediculous trying to keep up!
Oh, and our school used to torture us with 'Monster Mash' too. Every year the library would play it all day, everyday, for about a week around halloween... monster mash looped over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....

And yes, I still have the single. I should torture my kids with it.
Does anyone remember a song called "Zarr" ? It's an Aussie song.
It's about this bloke at a pub, a bit of a drunk. He goes outside to relieve himself, and starts to have a whizz against a car, then he notices that there's no wheels, it's a UFO. It's then that he meets the Alien.
The only words I remember are-:
"My name is Zarr, and I come from far"
I should go through my records, I still might have it tucked away somewhere.

oh yes thats one of those songs that always pops up around the camp fire when everyone is too drunk to sing the high notes LMAO

Wow you sang the song that was great, hit the right notes also.

Cant wait to hear the next song.

Jeez! The Purple People Eater! That was the first record that I ever owned.
Does anyone remember The Martian Hop by The Randells?
"We have just discovered an important note from space
The Martians plan to throw a dance for all the Human race"
- followed by some seriously warped electronica and rock'n'roll. Came out some time in the early 60's, I think, and was the second record that I ever owned.
