I hate to say it, but that looks dropped or thumped. You'd, IMHO, have Buckleys of convincing the manufacturer that it "just happened".
If you GENTLY flex the display do you hear a crunching noise at all? Is the glass itself
damaged? If not, it may be a
screen ribbon cable issue - in which case you may have a better case....
The fact that you have black "blobs" indicates that you have lost LC fluid, which along with the pixel electrodes sits in between two layers of glass. It's all very fragile, so even closing the
screen lid by pushing down on one side only instead of from the middle of the top edge will twist and crack this glass. Slamming the
screen shut will also do it.
