I got sucked into it also. I thought it looked like an interesting project to do. I'm waiting for issue 8 to come out now.

I've got enough bits to add the next stage (Venus). Looking forwards to it.

I built the Venus and upper plate stages last night. Looks nice, and still turns
I saw a couple of orreries in a shop in Melbourne yesterday - don't know how much they were, but they looked very nice pieces.

Hey guys,
My brother subscribed, but got a funny note with the first installment that the publication was being suspended. Anyone else have more info?

I'm not sure, Ian.
The notice also stated that if you did not want to wait to see if the publication would resume, you could return the books and all the parts and you payments thus far would be refunded.
It is also possible that the notice refers to another country (such as the UK) and it has been included in my brothers mail-out by accident. I am waiting for a reply from the publisher and will let you know what I learn, but I'm interested in finding out if anyone else has heard of this.
Cheers
Tony

I received my next bundle this morning, including my tool kit and issues 8 - 12. No letter stating they were suspending it.

We just got a reply, which reads in part:
"We confirm that at this stage there are 52 issues planned for the above series and issues 6, 7, 8 and 9 have been arranged for you and are planned to be sent to Australia Post shortly. The charge for these issues will be lodged with our bank on the 12th of December. Please allow up to 21 days for delivery."
No explanation what the notice was about, but I hope we can all reat easy.
Tony

Yes, get onto them!
I added the Earth/Moon last night - very nice. It's starting to take shape, and get heavy!

I put earth and the moon on mine yesterday but found that it wont turn any more. If I take the gears for the earth and moon off it all rotates fine. Is anyone else having this poblem?
