EQMOD and Windows 7 Question

Hi,

I'm running Win7 64bit, and when I try to run EQMOD without a scope attached to the laptop, it just flashes onto the screen briefly every 5 seconds ir so. Task Manager shows EDMOD as running, but I can't do anything with it.

I have no issues if I start it up with the HEQ5 plugged in, but I just need to occasionally look at the settings in EQMOD without actually hooking the mount up to it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

That is normal, it requires a valid comm port communication to start. I think if you run it via Toolbox you will see it appear without going off.

I think there is a script in the scripts folder that allows a simulate run of EQmod when not attached to anything.

You can use the EQ simulator mount instead of the real one - it's in the same drop-down list for all the mounts

Neil,
there is a script called Kill EQASCOM that can be found in All Programs-EQMOD-EQASCOM-Scripts folder. Use this to stop it starting and flashing onto the screen every 5 secs.
