Thanks, The image is a very quick 5 frame HDR blend done on a laptop! There are some more quick shots on my blog.

I am flying back home tomorrow and can't wait to have proper look at the images on a proper monitor.

Cheers,
Alex

Sigh...amazing what a few km's up or down the beach did for visibility.

Delightful & very worthy of an APOD

I've sent my congratulations already, but happy to add it here as well!

Great that it worked out for you near Palm Cove.. the beaches were a gamble but ocean light (and clouds!) has great character. Looking forward to the rest of your images.. a lot of promise there already.

Don't know about you but I'm ready to do it again!

Phil

Nice image Alex and it really shows the ethereal nature of this particular eclipse. I have been trying to remember the way the light played on the water and this image shows it really well. It was great to catch up with you during our stay at Palm Cove. I look forward to your other uses of this data.

Beautiful shot Alex

It seems you were lucky with the clouds and crowd

It captures very well how we see the spectacle without optical aid.

Congratulations Mark
