Eclipse pinhole projection time lapse from Griffith NSW

A little time lapse video of today's eclipse, as seen from Griffith NSW.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQzDJwwU3pY

One DSLR taking shots every 30 secs of the projected image, and another taking the long shot every minute. I used Startrails to create the initial video files, and then Cinilerra (Linux) to combine the two to give the Picture-in-Picture inset.

Astronomy doesn't all have to be hi-tech. My pinhole projector consisted of some Al foil and a pvc downpipe screwed to a length of scrap timber
of course that was all bolted to a polar aligned NEQ6, which certainly helped everything track nice and smoothly

Glad that all those who made the trip up to North Qld for the full eclipse got to see the show at the critical moment
