Takahashi FS-60CB + lots of accessories

The imaging bug has hit again, so I'm selling my beloved Tak FS-60CB kit to fund an upsizing expedition (cooled CCD camera).

This is the perfect kit for viewing or imaging the upcoming solar eclipse (I have a homemade Baader OD5 solar film filter that I'll throw in).

It includes all the parts needed to image through a Canon or Nikon DSLR at 372 mm f/6.2, and would be fantastic paired with a 11 mm Nagler or 24 mm Panoptic eyepiece. Photos:

1. The kit (the original box is included too, but not shown here).
2. View through the 1.6x extender.
3. View through the flattener.
4. View through the scope.

As you can see, there's a bit of dust on the front objective but since it doesn't interfere with imaging/visual I've just left it as-is.

The new price from AEC is about $2920 AUD, so I'm selling the lot for $2000 firm. I'll consider splitting amongst separate buyers if it sells the entire kit.

I can deliver in greater Brisbane area (before Sun 28th Oct), Adelaide (on/after Sun 28th Oct), or ship at buyer's expense. I'll consider splitting amongst separate buyers if it sells the entire kit.

Items and current new prices at AEC (estimates where applicable):

TFK6004 Takahashi FS-60CB Fluorite Refractor Telescope - $945
TFL0060 F/6.1 Flattener for FS-60C - $215
TOA130EX 1.6X 2" Extender for TOA, Mewlon, and FS-Series Telescopes - $430
TFP7100 Takahashi CAA for FS-60CB - $258
TFF0003 MEF-3 - 7:1 Micro Edge Focuser for 2.7" Focusers - $288
TSK6010 Takahashi 80mm Tube Holder - $112
TOA0040 2" Eyepiece and Accessory Adapter* - $144
TVF6300 6X30 Finderscope - $136
TVF6301 6X30 Finder Bracket - $44
TMW0012 Takahashi EOS wide camera mount for FS-60C** - $57
TWT6010 Takahashi Nikon wide camera mount for FS-60C** - $57
TKA20583 SD ring - $105
TFP0090 1.25" Diagonal Prism - $130

* This is just an eyepiece holder - you'd still need some other accessories in order to use 2" eyepieces with this kit.

** I suspect the ones I have aren't genuine Takahashi so I've priced accordingly.

If the whole lot doesn't sell, and, I'd be surprised if it didn't :O I'd be interested in the Canon camera mount.

Cheers.

If you're thinking of the FS-60CB as a portable imaging kit, there are also two very useful accessories that it works well with (not included as part of this sale):

* Reducer/Flattener to convert it to a 255 mm f/4.2 scope
* Extender 1.7x CQ to convert it to a 600 mm f/10 quadruplet
* combine the 1.6x extender and 1.7x CQ extender for a 960 mm f/16 scope

Here's a photographic "serving suggestion" for putting together a super portable imaging kit - the Tak FS-60CB kit with a Canon DSLR and Astrotrac Travel System (not included in this sale, obviously).

If you're reading this ad and thinking about buying, just do it. These are one of the most awesome little scopes made. Unreal for wide field viewing, as a first class finder / wide field scope riding on something bigger or just as a stunning introduction to wide field imaging with any DSLR or CCD camera. The quality is every bit as good as the larger and very much more expensive Taks like the Sky 90, TSA120 and TOA130 etc. To buy one with all the expensive little taks already in place is awesome.

Tom, everything below the Tak clamshell is part of the AstroTrac Travel System.

Dave, good luck with selling the lot. Infinitely simpler for you! If you choose to separate, I'll take the TFP0090 1.25" Diagonal Prism if available. Cheers.

Thanks Logan. I'm currently out of town, so not in a rush to sell yet. I might be open to offers if anyone's keen on the whole kit...
