Nice pictures Rick, dont know how we can see the shadow moon fairly in detail. All clouds down here, in Sydney We can't even see the sky for a week now. Missed the Solar Eclipse completely.
I should explain how we can see the moon when it is not illuminated directly by the sun ( the thin cresent is illuminated by direct sunlight). If you were on the moon you would see a full earth and it is the light from the earth lighting up the moon in the same way that a full moon lights up the earth at night.
