Brass plate and washers !!!!!

Friends, Romans and Countrymen lend me your BRASS !!!

In case you haven't seen my million posts, I am recommissioning the Gaunt Mount I bought recently and am in need of brass to rebuild or repair the RA setting circle the original of which has been machined down to half original size by a previous caretaker.

Ideally a 193mm circular plate 12mm thick but beggars can't be choosers so even 4mm or 5mm thick plate about 200 square would get me out of trouble.

I also need 25 solid brass washer 3/8" ID and 7/8" OD.

I you have a source for such please PM me with details and price

This is what I have to make : http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2.../Gaunt14cn.jpg

Matt,

I have a possible source of suitable brass plate that I'll check out for you. 25 washers is a lot of washers. It might be quicker to find a piece of brass rod of at least the right outside diameter and cut your own washers.

Cheers

Steve.

Thanks Steve,
Depending on what plate I can get, I will either make a complete new one or if only a thinner plate is available, I will sandwich it between the index plate and the original circle and bolt it to the old one. Not ideal but better than nothing.
I am hoping to get the material locally but can get the plate from the UK for about GBP 55.00 + post.
The washers are available ex USA also.

Cheers, Matt
