GSO RC10 on EM200?

Hello!

I'm thinking about buy a GSO RC10 Carbon fiber to mount it over my fantastic em200. What do you think? Will this combination work for imaging?

Thanks!

I have the 8" gso rc. I've been very impressed with it. The only mod I think I'll end up doing will be getting a moonlite focuser and replacing the stock 10:1. It seems to hold collimation fairly well too. Nothing bad to say at all at the moment.

I'm pretty sure the em-200 is rated at 15 Kgs.
The gso rc10 is 20 odd Kgs without anything else.

My bad, it's the 12" that's 20 odd.

The metal 10" RC is ~ 12-12.5 kg in weight - the same as a 10" Meade SCT.
Run both of these OTAs on an eq6 if that helps you with 4 counterweights and a guidescope (72mm) and ccd camera.
