Not that long ago we replaced our dead a/c with a Mitsubishi split, and got a second Mitsubishi split for the bedroom. The installers supply several brands and reckon the Mitsu were the best value and easiest to fix if anything went wrong. No complaints yet.

I have 2 Mitsubishi splits in the bedrooms and a large Daikin split in the lounge-all are good.

As its been months since the temerature here went into the mid-teens, I've sort of forgotten how hot summer can be!
I like Kelvinator, but they use more lekky than the Mitsu units ,though it's like living in a freezer when it gets going.
My in-laws have a Daikin and its always going pfffut tho YMMV.

When I first moved to the Kellyville district 13 years ago I quickly found that the summers were unbearable without A/C. I did not want to spend $7000+ on a ducted system at that time and bought the largest split unit I could find for $3000 "Electra". This has worked faultlessly summer and winter since. This cooled and warmed the living area OK but did not filter into the bedroom or my work room.

About 5 years ago I bought two smaller split units for the bedroom and work room. I bought the cheapest I could find "Koch" these have also given no bother except for the batteries in the remote control.

i am a refrigeration mechanic on the tweed coast and since starting my own company i definately say you get what you pay for. kelvinators and fujitsus both have 5yr domestic warranty but the fujitsus and mitsubishi heavy industries have 5yr commercial warranty as well. dont confuse mitsubishi and mitsubishi HI they are not the same company. avoid lg samsung mitsubishi akai? panasonic are ok but for the price id go for a fujitsu or mitsubishi HI. any day.
Did the unit trip the circuit when it went or does it just not cool anymore. try resetting the circuit breaker or turning power supply off for 5 minutes then back on again.
if you are a diyer turn the power off and check the fuses on the main indoor and outdoor PCBs
give me some diagnosis and we may be able to breath life into it yet.
A lot of airconditioning companys wont even diagnose a fault they just replace them. i like to fix the fixable myself.
