Skywatcher Black Diamond 150 f5 Newt OTA : PRICE DROP

Simply have too many scopes sitting around.....

Skywatcher Black Diamond 150mm f5 Newtonian OTA

Included are the following accessories....

- 6x30 finder scope
- tube rings and vixen style dovetail plate
- 1.25" and 2" eyepiece adapters
- 28mm 2" eyepiece

I have fully flocked the interior of the OTA tube with adhesive backed black felt......very dark indeed!!

The scope is in excellent condition. These currently retail for $299 at Andrews.

I am looking for $200 .......... I would prefer pickup (metro Adelaide), but if you are willing to organise transport/courier, I do have the original packaging.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi Daniel.
Just a heads up on shipping. Try e-go.com.au
I have used them a few times of late and u will find it easy to use on line to arrange and get quotes and the shipping time from NSW to Tas was 3days. I was impressed. They are an online brokerage and use Roadrunner etc. for door to door / depot to depot or combinations thereof.
While I am here can u give me a heads up on weight with tube rings diagonal and finder please. I'm having thoughts...

Cheers

Hi Trevor,

I will weigh it tonight (I did weigh it but the figure escapes me). But I do reckon it was around the 5kg mark. I am/was using it with a Skywatcher AZ4 mount. I will also weigh the packaging.

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi,
Before I sold my 150P I had it weighed in its original packaging at the post office and it came to 7.8kg. Hope this helps

The packaging/carton is 350 x 400 x 800 and the total weight (including scope etc) is 8kg.

The scope itself including finderscope, rings and dovetail is 6kg

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Daniel

Also, in case anyone was wondering, the OTA does come to focus with a CCD without requiring any mods to the OTA (at least with a QHY8L it does)....

Daniel
