Happy Sun today

Well it was me that was happy, the Sun was just doing it's thing (I have not been solaring for some time!).
Lunt60 with DMK51 at prime focus.
Image 1 was at 1/154 exp and gamma 80 (disc view) and image 2 the same exp but 260 gamma (disc and prom view). Quick process in Regisatx 5.
I was very pleased to be out under the Sun!

Excellent images Matt, they show a lot of detail which is nicely resolved. The colour version is my favourite; it really pops when you open the file. I bet you sweltered today, it hit 35 °C in Brissie!

Cheers

Dennis

Great image Matt, that looping prominence on the RHS of the colour one is a treat!

Yes I like the colour version best. I find that using a single panel has it's limitations though. It might pay to consider using a barlow Matt.

Hi Paul
I did use the 2.5 Powermate during this session but honestly the conditions were so poor I was almost unable to obtain any detail on the screen - the worst I have ever seen! I do like ramping up the mag a touch but I have not seen any skies of late that can handle the powermate on the 60 - frustrating! I still have the 80 waiting for better conditions too - it will get a run when conditions improve!
