04-05-06 - What's it like for you tonight?

Anyone havin' fun out under the stars tonight? It's lovely up here. 15 deg, dead calm, just the smallest bit of wood smoke in the air, 45 min til meridian transit and the seeing is

well you can't win them all. It is getting better though. At a rough guess I'd say it's gone from a 2 or 3 up to a 5 maybe 6ish in the last hour, so maybe I'll get lucky in the next 45 min.

What's it looking like where you are?

Where's a bucket of water.....will that do?????

I'm having to image over the lovely town of Nambour unfortunately. As you probably know it's down in a valley and I'm to the west of the town up on the ridge surrounding it. All that lovely hot air rising up from the town.

At least I'm out in it. Sorry to hear about your conditions way down south guys. Fingers crossed that that big high settles right over the top of you for a few days and clears everything up.

Anyone know where the comet is tonight. If I'm up I might as well make the most of it.

Hi Paul

You still there? I had to bale out as the wireless connection kept dropping out. Too much going on with K3CCDTools capturing AVI's; Registax processing them and IE6 posting them?

Cheers

Honestly, treating comets as afterthoughts.

It's behind the 8/8 cloud here.
